Sesame Street Live: Elmo's Got The Moves New Haven Theatre reviews
Disapointed
"I was so excited to see Madonna, an icon, but wouldn't go again or recommend it to anyone. The opening act was 30 minutes late and played for 45, fine. Madonna came on 90 minutes later at 10:35! People with sitters had to leave. She played a lot of new stuff which is okay. But when she played the old great music we all came to see it was modified and different, it wasn't worth it. Well, I sat so long my butt hurt. Her stage show is something to see. But she got off track and yammered so much I wondered if she was drunk. I was afraid to wear heels because I'd be dancing so much. We left before it ended at 12:30."
Fan No More
"We saw Sesame Street Live! at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Au Renee last week. Mostly funny, but he made mostly wife jokes most of the time. Half of his material was the same as last year. Why travel and pay money to see him again if he must have not made any new material since last year? The theater had many empty seats and on the day of the show, they were on sale at the ticket vendors. The seats were 2 - 4 times the price as in Pembroke Pines. Mostly just a repeat performance."
Nickelback is a great band
Last night, Sesame Street Live! did a fantastic job, but I believe the show they performed in the Toyota Center earlier this year was superior due to the unique stage setup they had. The AC/DC and Garth Brooks Jams were a hit with us, and I feel that all bands should include more covers in their concerts. Bringing the opening acts back on stage to play along is a cool idea. However, my only objection is that in this show, there was too much talking. Just give us a few words, chat with fans briefly, and then move on.
Consummate Performer
Thank you for sharing your God given voice at Radio City Music Hall during Sesame Street Live! Your soothing and strong voice is still as lovely as when you began your career. Have you been to a concert where the artist engages the audience by calling out her OG’s and the Millennials? Thanking and recognizing all her background singers, manager, lighting sound crew, and artists in attendance, she showed us how grateful she was for our presence. The venue booked two shows on her farewell tour, and many fans attended BOTH shows, a #DoubleBlessing. The icing on the cake was Frank McComb & Alicia Keys OMG! Sorry to those who left before the encore performance.
Kevin James is funny!
"A great night out, the show was. Kevin came out around 7:30 and was done by 8:40. My friends and I cried so hard we laughed. Danny Valentine came on at 7:10, he is really funny. It was over too soon, my only complaint. I think there is a lot to be said for that nowadays. I had not seen one live in while. I would see him again, the show was great. His act is completely clean and I had never seen Sesame Street Live! live before. This could be normal for a comedy show, but we were all left wanting more. The general consensus around us was that it was too short."
